I have a Ph.D. in English and a 2nd dan black belt in karate. I won my first writing award in middle school for a story about a unicorn. More recently, I’ve won awards for my academic writing and my fiction. You can read my short stories in ParSec, Analog Science Fiction and Fact, and Andromeda Spaceways!
I’ve written poetry, academic essays, science fiction, horror, and memoir. Currently I’m writing mini-essays on Substack. I am genre fluid, and I love combining elements from different genres to see what happens. Much like cooking. Sometimes with weirder results.
I live in Atlanta, GA, with my husband, dog, and two cats. When I’m not running, I drink buckets of coffee, sometimes knit, and I read as much as I possibly can.
